Because of his efforts, in 2016, Hip-HopVibe.com saw it fitting for DJ Khaled to be the Artist of the Year. Every year, DJ Khaled has delivered a new album, save for 2009. This span of time has seen him continue landing increasingly bigger features.
By 2016, an era of rappers came up listening to Khaled, so his albums became the marker for a rapper, if he made it or not. In 2016, he finally took the number one spot. But, what he’s doing now, which exceeds 2016, began during his 99 Jamz days.
Supa Cindy is one of the faces of 99 Jamz, and also the head of her own brand, SupaTV. She came up with DJ Khaled and knows him unlike any other media personality. Since the early spring, Supa Cindy has been working with Hip-HopVibe.com and she linked up with Khaled during the BET Awards week, where he spoke on Grateful, Asahd, Jay-Z and Beyonce, “Wild Thoughts” with Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, and the growth of his career.
