One of the most talented rappers in the game is Chella H, she is a native of Chicago and fresh off her The Realist Bitch In It (Reloaded) mixtape. Last night she dropped the tape and she had Don Cannon host the compilation for her. Chella H made sure all eyes were on her.

For those wondering where the Artists to Know column was this past Monday, sometimes things happen. It turns out missing the deadline was a blessing in disguise because Hip Hop Vibe scheduled an interview with Chella H. Having personal ties with her team made it the perfect time to tie two things into one.

Definitely an Artist to Know, Chella H spoke to Hip Hop Vibe earlier this afternoon and she talked about her new music. Chella H explained why she jumped on Migos’ “Versace,” her The Realist Bitch In It (Reloaded) mixtape, and the Chicago hip hop scene. It was definitely an interesting read.

Read the entire interview below:

Why did you choose to jump on the “Versace” beat? I hopped on the “Versace” beat because so many people, especially my fans, were asking me to do it. Zaytoven did the beat and I’m a part of his movement, so I was like “fuck it” and I’m glad I did it and the people loved it.

Do you feel it was a good fit for your mixtape? Yes, I’m glad I did it, like I said. It felt good to drop it the day before I dropped the mixtape and the club loved it.

Why did you choose Don Cannon to host your newest effort? Well, actually, it has been in the making for the past couple of months. Usually, I go the no-DJ route because I am cool with all of the Chicago DJs. So, I decided to reach out to him and he is one of the biggest DJs out there.

What type of impact do you think he brought to your current project, as opposed to your other no DJ tapes? The mixtape just dropped last night, so I will have to see about that over the next few weeks. But, I always do strong even without a DJ.

Why did you choose to revisit The Realist Bitch In It mixtape? I originally put out a mixtape called The Realist Bitch In It. I didn’t do it the way I wanted to, so I did the reloaded edition and add some new tracks to it, along with some of the older tracks. I live up to this title and it was actually given to my fans.

When will you be considering dropping your next project? Actually, I have a mixtape done that I might drop next month. Right now, I am just focused on getting this one out. It’s not even been twelve hours yet, but I’m always working and dropping some new shit.

As a whole, how do you feel about this Chicago hip hop scene? I definitely feel great and it’s a plus for me and all of us. I’m really proud of my city, so shout out to the whole Chicago, we are coming up.

Which movement is one you are really supporting and would consider working with? You know what? I support all the movements. I support everybody and it just depends on who they are and who I’ll work with. But, I’m focusing on my movement right now, but if anyone wants to work, I’m definitely open to it.

Where can we find you on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram? Facebook is Chella Hustle, Twitter and Instagram is ChellaChicago, my website is and you can go there and get all my mixtapes, apparell, and everything is Chella H. My songs are on “Bad Girls Club” and everything, so check me out.
