Armani Caesar is one of the hottest artists rising out of Buffalo, NY right now along with the latest signee at Griselda Records. She is currently building momentum with her new “Simply Done” record featuring Benny The Butcher which serves as her Griselda debut single and is also produced by the legendary DJ Premier. This comes after she captured may fans attention with her hot verse on Griselda’s Westside Gunn’s “Lil Cease” single from his ‘Flygod Is An Awesome God 2‘ mixtape which dropped in July.
Caesar also has her debut studio album, ‘The Liz,’ releasing on September 18. She was initially supposed to put it out back on August 21 but due to the passing of long-time Griselda producer, DJ Shay, she decided to push it back due to needing time for everyone at the label to grieve. He played an influential role in helping Griselda take off as a record label and after his passing, Caesar, Benny, Gunn, and Conway The Machine all needed some time to relax following the sudden loss before getting back to business as usual.
HHV caught up with Caesar and among the topics discussed were Simply Done, The Liz project, working with a hip-hop legend in Premier, and putting Buffalo on the map in the state of New York. She also touched on her Armani’s Closet clothing brand which even captured the attention of Megan Thee Stallion as she was seen rocking it on social media.
Check out the conversation with Caesar below and stream The Liz on all streaming platforms on September 18.
