H.E.R. Continues Impressive 2021 Run By Winning R&B Artist of The Year Award at 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards

The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards are currently going down at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Performances here included Doja Cat, Silk Sonic, H.E.R., and more.

H.E.R. also just scored a win tonight as this was for R&B Artist of the Year. Other candidates in this category included Chris Brown, Jhenè Aiko, Snoh Aalegra, and Summer Walker. The Bay Area native soon took to the stage to thank her supporters and contributors. H.E.R. was also nominated for R&B Song of The Year. This was for her 2019 hit single, “Slide,” feat. YG.

H.E.R. has been red-hot in 2021. In March, she won two GRAMMYs as they were for Best Song with “I Can’t Breathe” and for her appearance on Robert Glasper’s “Better Than I Imagined,” which also included Meshell Ndegeocello. In April, H.E.R. went on to win an Oscar for Best Original Song with “Fight For You” from the “Judas and The Black Messiah” movie soundtrack.

In April, H.E.R. also went on to release another new single in “Come Through,” feat. Chris Brown. This released also included an announcement by her on social media where she revealed that her long-awaited debut studio album is finally on the way. This project is titled “Back Of My Mind.” H.E.R had a lot of momentum heading into 2021 with her “Damage” single to close out last year as well.
