Today marks the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in the US. Many vividly remember where they were when the World Trade Center Towers went down in NYC, the Pentagon was hit, and when a plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, PA. That was where passengers fought back against one of the terrorists, who attempted to hijack the plane.
9/111 tributes are pouring in all over social media, and there will be a special tribute concert tonight as well, that will air on CNN. These performances will be by H.E.R., Common, Brad Paisely, and Maroon 5.
These are some of the biggest artists in the world right now, and are definitely great choices in helping comfort America, during this difficult anniversary. Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Eli Manning will also be speaking, during this CNN special. This event will air at 8PM ET.
