While Gunna has been around, for a while, 2019 saw him have breakthrough success. Since then, he has been one of the biggest young names, in hip hop. His hometown of South Fulton, Georgia, realizes this, so the mayor presented him with an award, and made September 16 “Gunna Day.”
In 2016, Gunna signed with Young Thug’s YSL Records, and immediately began putting out projects. Towards the end of 2018, he began making major noise. This is when he and Lil Baby dropped Drip Harder and their music began dominating the radio.
Gunna has been going, nonstop, since 2018, when “Drip Too Hard” hit the radio. Three years later, he is being presented an award, from his hometown of South Fulton, Georgia, and given his own day. Meanwhile, his third album, Drip Season 4, is on the way.
