Google controls the internet, so it seems, as the whole world seems to live and die by their updates. Indeed, Google is the most-powerful website of all-time. Their search engine is a part of every day culture, with everybody using it.
Not only that, Google has become the top email provider, as nearly everyone uses Gmail. Then, Google also owns YouTube, which is where people spend hours watching videos. On top of that, many people make their living off creating YouTube videos.
So, what happens when Gmail and YouTube go down? The internet panics, as if these sites go down, any sites can go down. There is a panic on Twitter, as #gmail and #YouTubeDOWN are trending, hard, over there.
