For whatever reason, it seems as if there is disharmony between Meek Mill and the other Philadelphia hip hop leaders. After going through his high-profile feud with fellow Philadelphia rapper, Cassidy, Meek Mill took subliminal shots at Gillie Da Kid on Twitter. Since they two recently worked together, it came as a surprise.
Gillie Da Kid has kept himself out of controversy in the years following his high-profile feud with the prominent YMCMB. Instead, Gillie Da Kid has focused in on his mixtape series, King of Philly. Ironically, Meek Mill makes an appearance on the last mixtape from Gillie in that series.
Since subliminal shots were taken in the direction of Gillie Da Kid, as assumed by the media, he has fired some back. Apparently directed at Meek Mill, Gillie Da Kid uploaded this Redd Foxx meme to his Instagram. There is only one prominent new money rapper from Philadelphia.
