They cast Flavor Flav on “The Surreal Life” and spawned three spinoffs that led to such people as Real and Chance, aspiring rappers, gaining exposure. When the network changed formats, they hit paydirt with “Love & Hip Hop.”
But, “Couples Therapy” has become a more honest view of “Love & Hip Hop.” Hosted by the popular TV personality, Dr. Drew, “Couples Therapy” already had built-in promotion and then they had some big names. DMX ended up being a controversial part of the show and later Flavor Flav and Chingy joined the show.
In the upcoming season, Ghostface Killah will be joining the cast of the show. The life of a rapper can be too much for the women who choose to fall in love with them. Ghostface is the latest person to get caught up in this and he and the woman he loves will be sorting their issues out with Dr. Drew and other celebrity couples.
