During the recording of The R.E.D. Album, hip hop fans learned of the budding friendship between Game and Chris Brown. At the time, Game was entering his hiatus and Chris Brown was at the lowest point of his career. But, by the time Game returned with The R.E.D. Album, Chris Brown enjoyed new heights.

When Chris Brown got into a Twitter beef with Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean, it was Game who ended the situation. Meanwhile, Game released his “Pot of Gold” single, one of the deepest songs of his career. Toward the end of summer 2011, “Pot of Gold” enjoyed breakout success.

After strong results the first time, Game decided to make Chris Brown a central piece of his follow-up, Jesus Piece. Chris Brown is prominently featured on “Celebration,” the album’s first single. Game spoke to Howard Stern about Chris Brown earlier today and mentioned some advice he gave him.
