G Herbo dances to Laffy Taffy by D4L in the mall
When Atlanta took the rap game over, the city decided they would never let it go. Various sub-genres of hip hop were birthed in Atlanta. The mid-2000s saw snap music take over and D4L epitomized it with “Laffy Taffy.” Despite the song becoming a hit, D4L was accused of “ruining” hip hop.
Nearly two decades later, the D4L collective is being praised for creating timeless music. Recently, 2 Chainz paid homage to “Laffy Taffy” on “Neighbors Know My Name,” where some expected a Trey Songz reboot. But, 2 Chainz isn’t the only person who decided to pay homage to D4L’s breakthrough hit.
G Herbo has risen to become one of the top rappers in the game, over the past five years. Once G Herbo finally broke through, he wasn’t looking back. Not only is G Herbo making his name in music, he is also building his family. After having a son with Ari Fletcher, G Herbo moved on with Taina Williams. She is Fabolous’ step daughter and the mother of G Herbo’s youngest two children. Currently, G Herbo is riding the success of 25, his last album. Hanging out in the mall, G Herbo shared a video of himself dancing to D4L’s classic, “Laffy Taffy.”
