During the fall of 2016, “Atlanta” finally premiered on FX. This was the long-discussed series Childish Gambino (Donald Glover, Jr.) talked about bringing to life. The “Atlanta” series shows the current hip hop/social media era of the city and the urban life there.

Donald Glover isn’t just the star of the show, he is also the creator. He plays Earn, an ambitious wannabe mogul. Sensing an opportunity with his cousin, Alfred aka Paperboy (Brian Tyree Henry), a rising rapper, Earn begins managing him in hopes of “making money.”

“Atlanta” debuted and it was hilariously accurate in how society has become. The first season was such a big hit that fans wanted the show to return, immediately, but were fine with waiting until 2017. Because of Glover’s upcoming movie, the “Atlanta” season two premiere was delayed until 2018 to the dismay of fans.
