Last year, Future had one of the biggest years of his career, but his buzz topped off towards the halfway mark of the year. Still, “Mask Off” was one of the biggest hits of his career. It was that run that put Future in a different category.
Over the past few years, Future has proven himself capable of taking the top spot. However, competition was stiff, from DJ Khaled, French Montana, and Kendrick Lamar. Then, Cardi B’s emergence took the whole industry by surprise.
Future has kept a relatively low profile since the summer of 2017, in terms of new music. That will soon change, as Future took to Twitter, hinting about his next release. From what he’s saying, Future has a mixtape and album on the way.
