The past year has been relatively difficult for Freeway, but he continues to make his presence felt. At the very beginning of the year, Freeway dealt with his friend, The Jacka, dying. A couple of months later, he faced his own mortality.
Freeway talked to Hip Hop Vibe about his new work. Later this year, he intends to release Free Will, his latest album. Just as he got ready to promote the upcoming album, fresh off of reuniting with Jay Z and his old Roc-A-Fella cohorts, Freeway fell ill with kidney failure.
As Freeway was suffering, he ultimately fell into the media background, which was a good thing for him. The chance to recover out of the public eye makes a world of difference. Now, Freeway is healthy and out of the hospital, sharing the results on Instagram.
