Ten years ago, 50 Cent decided to take aim at some new rivals. Just a year prior, 50 Cent did a great job of dethroning Ja Rule as the top rapper in the game. Declaring Ja Rule as his enemy, 50 Cent went after anyone who was helping him regain his footing.
In 2004-2005, Ja Rule enjoyed a comeback on the heels of an R. Kelly top five track and a street anthem with Fat Joe and Jadakiss. During this period of time, 50 Cent took all of them on. He gained an enemy who was as adamant as he was in Fat Joe and their beef went on for years.
Finally, at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, the two decided to end their beef out of respect to Chris Lighty, who had just died weeks prior. In 2014, 50 Cent and Fat Joe collaborated on a song entitled “Free Again.” Both happened to be in Miami, during the 4th and they, along with their respective crews, linked up for a quick picture.
