Around 4:30am this morning, Pop Smoke was shot and killed in a Los Angeles home owned by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp and her husband, Edwin Arroyave. TMZ initially reported that two masked gunmen shot and killed him but now, the report is that there were actually four. This all occurred after Smoke was seen on Twitter interacting with fans.

No motives by the shooters have been revealed by police as they say that they’re still on the run. A clue as to how the gunmen found the home was Smoke posting his house address that was on an Amiri bag. The house alarm also was not turned on.

Many people on social media are also creating speculation that Smoke’s childhood friend, Mike Dee, set him up. Dee was also staying at this West Hollywood home with the rising Brooklyn rapper. He took to Instagram today to express his grief along with denying the accusations. This was after his IG post from yesterday showing him with Smoke in front of the LA home. The new photo displayed this afternoon in the IG post was the two as children, kids growing up, along with present-day photos of them looking happy together.

“CANT NOTHING EXPRESS THE PAIN IM FEELING ….I JUST LOST MY FUCKING BROTHER, MY HEART MY DAWGZ💙YOU GUYS HAVE NO TYPE OF SENSE OR SYMPATHY ! YALL DONT KNO WHATS GOING ON YALL COME ON HERE PLAYING INVESTIGATOR AND BASHING ME ON THE INTERNET, I WOULD NEVER IN MY LIFE SET MY BROTHER UP, WE ATE TOGETHER , BROKE BREAD TOGETHER THIS REALLY MY MOTHER CHILD I DONT GOTTA EXPLAIN NOTHING TO NOBODY THAT DONT KNO ME BUT FOR THE ONES WHO KNOW ME KNOW WHEN YOU SAW ME YOU SAW POP.”

These two came up together so it’s very insensitive right now for people online to make the assumption that Dee got Smoke killed. Hopefully, the shooters can be brought to justice soon. Prayers go out to Dee and Smoke’s family as well on this huge loss.
