Five years ago, Fetty Wap was really moving, out here. He already had his “Trap Queen” single blowing up, but he was starting to receive celebrity co-signs. The rest was history, as 2015 belonged to Fetty Wap, and his crew.
Fetty Wap landed a feature from Drake, as he did the impossible. The New Jersey rapper ushered in a new sound, which currently is the norm. In many ways, Fetty Wap was a pioneer, for his time.
What Fetty Wap did for the game has not totally been forgotten. When “Trap Queen” plays, people still turn up, and the song still slaps. For his efforts, Fetty Wap has received a Diamond plaque for the “Trap Queen” single, as it has gone ten times platinum.
