Certain things, once it’s seen, cannot be unseen, and this meme happens to be one. Prior to the BET and TV One reruns, “Girlfriends” was one of TV’s best-kept secrets. Those who knew, though, they knew, simple as that.
Those who watched “Girlfriends” know William (Reggie Hayes) was really the unsung hero of the show. The best friend to all of the girls, it was William who came with the jokes. Also, it was William who came with the advice, and the helping hand.
Few sitcom characters were as funny as William, something the world is learning, through the reruns. Now, the jokes are kicking in, and it’s right on time, as a meme is circulating of William and Moneybagg Yo, showing them looking an awful lot alike. A good sport, William’s actor, Reggie Hayes, shared it, saying he loved it.
