Fans call out Verzuz, after announcing that upcoming Anthony Hamilton-Musiq Soulchild Verzuz, won’t be streamed on Instagram, and will need to use subscriptions

Fans blast Verzuz’ decision to bring subscriptions and no Instagram stream

Verzuz has been one of the biggest platforms in the music industry, since early 2020. It was originally started by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, to have hit-for-hit battles, between fans’ favorite artists and producers. This also helped fans who were dealing with stay-at-home orders, in the very early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since mid-2021, Verzuz has partnered with Triller, and is beginning to make more commercial/corporate moves. This now includes the upcoming Anthony Hamilton-Musiq Soulchild Verzuz not being streamed on Instagram.

Fans also have to subscribe to a 14-day free trial on TrillerVerzPass. After that, they would have to pay $2.99 per month.

“THIS VERZUZ WILL NOT BE ON IG,” said Verzuz on IG. “Watch on VERZUZTV.COM with the #TrillerVerzPass (Go to VERZUZTV.COM to sign-up for a 14-day trial)”

The Anthony Hamilton-Musiq Soulchild Verzuz is set to take place on February 15, at 8:30PM PT. It will be held at The Avalon, in Hollywood.

Fans haven’t been happy about this new streaming change at all, with the requirement of having to pay to see Verzuz, along with no Instagram streaming. This unfortunately appears to be the plan from Verzuz, moving forward. Anthony and Musiq are two of the most legendary R&B artists in history, but this latest Verzuz news has fans completely disinterested, in this event.
