Fabolous talks longevity, making hits, lyricism, and more on “Drink Champs” [VIDEO]

It doesn’t get much more Brooklyn than Fabolous, a rapper who carved out his own lane. In 2001, the world got to know Fabolous as the emcee who made the songs for the ladies. But, his first album didn’t really cater much to the ladies, it was more just straight up bars.

However, Fabolous further carved that lane out, in 2003, as he cemented himself as a star. While people categorize Fab as the “ladies man,” “Breathe” is his most-recognized single. Now, Fabolous focuses more on his mixtape work, and it’s all bars from Fab, now.

Recently, Fabolous made his return to “Drink Champs,” where he sat down with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. During the interview, he explained how Big Daddy Kane was ahead of his time, citing him, B.I.G., and Jay as his biggest influences. But, he also spoke on his freestyles, lyrics, the women, and much more in his life.
