Fabolous talks childhood upbringing, being pressed by Beyoncé, music, and more on “The Breakfast Club” [VIDEO]

From 2001 until 2008, Fabolous was one of the hottest rappers in the game, normally delivering a hit single, every year. But, Fabolous went through some label changes, leaving Elektra to Def Jam. Still, he dropped hits.

When Jay-Z took over at Def Jam, taking a step back from making music, rap blogs, of that era, touted Fabolous to take on his mantle. It turns out, Fabolous didn’t have an interest in that lane. Seeing the game changing, Fabolous tackled the mixtapes, hard.

Fabolous recently stopped by “The Breakfast Club,” where he opened up about his childhood. Sitting down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God, of course Ray J was also mentioned, with Fab saying he thinks Ray is uneasy around him, but he has no issues with him. He also spoke on Beyonce checking him, over a lyric about Solange, and then discussed his new music.
