After years of tag-teaming several artists, with guest verses, Fabolous and Jadakiss decided to do something different. The two came together for a joint album. Dropping on Black Friday, they offered Friday on Elm Street as their collaborative effort.
Fabolous and Jadakiss are both gritty rappers, but they represent two different elements of the game. On a commercial level, Fabolous created many radio-friendly records. Meanwhile, Jadakiss only has one, the “You Make Me Wanna” record, with Mariah Carey.
N.O.R.E. is doing “Drink Champs” alone, while DJ EFN is on vacation, and he came through with two of his peers. Sitting down with Fabolous and Jadakiss, the three ended up really speaking on their history. The old stories about DJ Clue, label situations, Jay-Z and Def Jam, and so much more dominated the conversation.
