During the early “Empire” episodes, fans often laughed at Lucious’ (Terrence Howard) name. The joke was him being mad about Jamal (Jussie Smollett) being gay and Lucious being his name. However, some argued that Lucious was very close to Lucifer.

Despite having a boyfriend, Cookie was falling for Lucious. However, her father wasn’t having any of that. But, when he called young Lucious by the name of Lucifer Lyon, Twitter went off, but they agreed with him.
