Ella Mai announces May 8 release date for “Heart On My Sleeve” album
Ella Mai turned into one of the biggest stars in R&B, in 2018. Her 2017 “Boo’d Up” single finally earned the recognition it deserved that year, and soared into charting success. Ella had soon been quiet throughout 2019, but, released a solid single in 2020, with “Not Another Love Song.”
The London native is now ready to finally get back into album mode. In January, Ella put out her new “DFMU.” Now, she has officially announced that her sophomore album will be released on May 6. This project is titled “Heart On My Sleeve.”
Ella took to her social media feeds on Monday, to make this huge announcement.
“HEART ON MY SLEEVE. MAY 6 2022. i poured my whole heart into this album, more so than ever before. i am overly excited for this sophomore journey. let’s do it all over again!”
Ella’s self-titled debut album came back in October 2018. That saw a top five debut on the Billboard 200 chart, as it was led by the “Boo’d Up” single, as well as “Trip” and “Shot Clock.” The album went on to go 2x platinum in the US.
