In his career, Dwight Howard has had many ups-and-downs. Early in his career, Dwight Howard made the Orlando Magic relevant, again, leading them to the 2009 NBA Finals. That series saw them lose in five games to Kobe Bryant’s Los Angeles Lakers.
From there, the Magic began a continuous slide, as Dwight Howard played at an MVP level. By 2012, Howard was essentially done with the team, and traded to the Lakers to form a super-team. That didn’t last, so he went to the Houston Rockets, leaving there after three years.
Dwight Howard soon became a journeyman, playing for the Hawks, Hornets, and Wizards within three years. This season, Howard was almost out of the NBA, before accepting a minimum deal to return to the Lakers, now led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Tonight, Howard won his first title, and afterwards, shared a message on his IG Live about never giving up, which is resonating with Twitter, right now.
