This week has definitely been heavy-handed, with all of the sad news going around. There was the passing of Rita Owens, Queen Latifah’s mother, who most know for playing on “Living Single,” as Queen’s mother. Those who grew up on that were really shocked.

Now, there is another familiar face that people will have to get used to no longer seeing. The beautiful and talented DuShon Monique Brown has made herself into a well-known figure. People know her best as ‘Connie,’ on “Chicago Fire.”

Unfortunately, Connie’s absence is going to be permanent, as her portray-er, DuShon Monique Brown, has died. She was a young woman, of only 49 years of age. Like Owens, Brown’s death is from heart complications, as reports say hers was a heart attack.
