Drake’s Chart-Topping “What’s Next” Single Reaches Platinum Certification

In early March, Drake released his “Scary Hours 2” EP, which definitely gave fans some excitement after delaying his “Certified Lover Boy” album in January. Scary Hours 2 contained three tracks in “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs” feat. Lil Baby, and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” feat. Rick Ross.

All three songs from the EP have since all gone gold. Now, another plaque is on the way for Drake for this project. According to Chart Data, What’s Next is now platinum in the US. This is after selling 1 million units. What’s Next originally debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

At the time of Scary Hours 2’s release, all three songs debuted in the first three spots on the Hot 100 as well. Drake became the first artist to ever do this. The EP has a whole also sold 970,000 units in its first week.
