Drake released his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” on September 3, and has been doing epic numbers since then. It initially debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart, with 613,000 units sold.
At this point, CLB isn’t slowing down at all, as it’s aiming for its fourth straight week, at number one. According to Chart Data, this is expected to be the case, with 132,000 units sold, in Week 4.
NBA Youngboy’s “Sincerely, Kentrell” album is going at it with CLB though, as this project is expected to be at the number two spot, with 131,000 units, in its debut. This is Youngboy’s first album, since going to jail on gun charges in late March.
Currently, Drake has the first rap album to spend its first three weeks at number one. It is also the fastest rap album to go platinum, this year. A chart-topping hit appeared on CLB, which was “Way 2 Sexy,” ft. Young Thug and Future, as it has since gone gold. 21 tracks were available in total, with additional appearances from Jay Z, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, and more.
