Drake has been dominating over the past month, with his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy.” It was released on September 3, after going through a nine-month delay. Following its release, it debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart, and spent three consecutive weeks there.
The past two weeks were occupied by NBA Youngboy and Taylor Swift’s albums, but Drizzy is now on top again. According to Chart Data, CLB is now number one, with 94,000 units sold, over the past week. This is also the fourth week in total, that CLB has been at number one. It’s also the only rap album to spend this amount of weeks, at this position, in 2021.
CLB contained plenty of hits, as it debuted nine songs, into the top 10, of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Way 2 Sexy” ft. Young Thug and Future also topped the Hot 100 chart, and went gold in the US. “Knife Talk,” ft. 21 Savage and Project Pat, and “No Friends In The Industry,” have also been fan-favorites.
Don Toliver’s sophomore album, “The Life of a Don,” debuted at number two, with 68,000 units. 64.13 million on-demand streams were accumulated, with 18,000 coming from pure sales.
