Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy,” Has Officially Spent Three Straight Weeks, at Number One, on Billboard 200 Chart

Drake has had a very dominant 2021, and it continued this month, with the release of his sixth studio “Certified Lover Boy.” This initially debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. Its impressive run continues this week, as well.

According to Chart Data, CLB is number one again, with 171,000 units, in its consecutive third week. CLB is also platinum in the US, which is the fastest rap album to reach this certification, in 2021. 1,020,000 units have been sold, since it was released. Drake also has spent 30 total weeks at number one, on the Billboard 200. This is behind Taylor Swift (42), and Adele (34).

CLB contained 21 tracks, with star-studded appearances from Jay Z, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, and more. It also contained a number one song, in “Way 2 Sexy,” ft. Future and Young Thug. That record has since gone gold, as well.

The number two spot, went to Lil Nas X’s debut studio album, “Montero,” which debuted at number two. That project sold 1260,000 units in its first week, 22,000 coming from pure sales. 147.16 million on-demand streams were also accumulated.
