Last week, Drake released his ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes’ mixtape which featured the No. 1 single “Toosie Slide” along with “Chicago Freestyle” featuring Giveon and “When To Say When.” Other hot records emerged from this project as well such as “Pain 1993” feat. Playboi Carti and “Demons” feat. Fivio Foreign and Sosa Geek.

Drake has been battling all week with Kenny Chesney for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart as Chesney’s ‘Here And Now’ album was gaining a lot of momentum. The 19th studio album by the country legend has now received a huge W as it has claimed the top spot with 234,000 Units sold, according to Chart Data and Hits Daily Double. Drake finished with 226,000.

Drake receiving the No. 2 spot also ends his 10-year run of his projects debuting at No. 1. He released nine in a row that ruled the Billboard 200. Nonetheless, Dark Lane Demo Tapes was a very solid mixtape and is one of the biggest successes of 2020 for him. Drake also appeared on Future’s “Life Is Good” single in January which went on to be certified 3x platinum.
