Even when the world around him is crumbling, Drake continues to rise above all. His label, Young Money, is currently in limbo, as Lil Wayne has beef with Birdman. Meanwhile, Drake released a surprise mixtape to hold fans over.
That mixtape is one of the big reasons why Apple launched Apple Music to counteract Jay Z’s TIDAL. Ultimately, Drake spurned TIDAL in order to join Apple Music. But, Spotify still remains the number one in the streaming game.
Drake, despite his Apple Music membership, is setting Spotify records, often. The Toronto rapper has the most-successful song in streaming history, with “One Dance.” His Views single has been streamed over 880 million times and counting.
