Drake Reportedly Withdraws His Two 2022 Grammy Nominations

Over a week ago, nominations were finally revealed, for the 2022 GRAMMYs. Drake scored two, as he’s had another major year. He was nominated in the categories of Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance.

According to Variety though, Drake has now reportedly withdrawn these nominations. The reasoning is still unclear, for why these moves were made. These decisions were also made by both Drake and his management.

Drake’s “Certified Lover Boy” album was in the Best Rap Album category, as it was released in September, and debuted at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. It went on to spend consecutive weeks at that position, and reached the top spot again, two more times. It has since consistently remained in the top 10.

Drake’s Best Rap Performance nomination was for his “Way 2 Sexy” single, ft. Young Thug and Future. That initially appeared on CLB, and wasn’t even a lead single. It also went on to debut at number one, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
