Travis Scott is in deep water right now, due to the horrific incidents, that went down, at his Astroworld Festival, last weekend. Eight people died on November 5, in Houston, as lawsuits are continuing to pile up. A 9-year-old boy is also fighting for his life, in the hospital.
Drake was performing at the festival as well, as Travis brought him out. Drake was also recently named in a new lawsuit, which claimed that he and Travis incited the crowd. Now, Drake is finally speaking out, about the tragedy that unfolded, at one of the most popular festivals in the US.
On Monday night, Drake took to his Instagram feed, to express his grief, towards the victims of those who lost their lives, those who were injured, and those affected by what happened, at Astroworld Fest.
“I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all.”
Fans had waited to see, if Drake would finally speak out, and he did. He has since been commended, for these kind words. As for Travis, he will not be performing at the upcoming Day N Vegas festival this weekend, as he reportedly stated that he is “too distraught to play.”
