Drake Lands Ninth No. 1 Album With “Care Package” As It Moved 109,000 Units In First Week Of Its Release

Drake released his “Care Package” album on August 2 which contained tracks such as “5AM In Toronto” and “Jodeci Freestyle” feat. J. Cole which didn’t appear on streaming outlets or on previous albums. Despite the records being heard by fans in the past, the nostalgia was enough for fans to help the Toronto legend do big numbers as usual.

Care Package just gave Drake his ninth top album as it’s number one on the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending on August 8. The compilation album moved 109,000 equivalent album units. 16,000 of them comprised of pure album sales. He now has the most number one albums this decade.

Drake is already one of the best artists of all-time and Care Package’s success proves that. The fact that fans would treat records that they heard in the past as if they’re brand new is legendary. Drake could do these compilation albums for the rest of his career and not release a new album and they’d all go to the top of the charts just like Care Package.
