Drake is most streamed artist of 2022

Drake hasn’t released any new music in 2022 yet, but is still dominating with streams. The top 10 most streamed artists of 2022 so far have been revealed, and Drizzy has topped the list.

According to Chart Data, Drake has the most streams, with 1.4 million. Second is NBA Youngboy with 1.3 billion, and then Taylor Swift, with 1.2 billion. Other rappers included are Juice WRLD at number five, Kanye at six, Eminem at seven, Kodak Black at number eight, and Rod Wave at number nine.

For Drake, 2021 was another huge year for him. He released two projects, as the first one was his “Scary Hours 2” EP, which was out a year ago, during this time. Three songs were released, that also featured Rick Ross and Lil Baby. All three records were hits, which all debuted in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. (“What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs” ft. Lil Baby and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” ft. Rick Ross.

In the fall, Drake also released his highly anticipated sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy.” It was originally supposed to be out in January, but faced a nine-month delay. In the end, the wait was worth it, as it became Drake’s sixth straight number one album. Every album in Drake’s career has reached this mark. The album also featured another chart-topping song for Drake, in “Way 2 Sexy,” ft. Future and Young Thug.
