It’s sad that the current makeup of society means a person cannot simply do something for themselves. When a person branches out, people quickly assume they have left their original team because of some issues. The latest case of this has been with Drake and his OVO label.
In launching this company, Drake chose to operate it separately from Cash Money Records and has been accused of being on his way out at YMCMB. These rumors heightened when Drake did not appear on the Rich Gang album because he was working on other music. Many took Nicki Minaj’s statements as him leaving the label.
According to the recent show YMCMB did in Buffalo, New York, Drake is still on good terms with Cash Money Records. Drake performed with Lil Wayne and also posed for photos with Birdman and Mack Maine. Now, Drake is set to deliver his third studio album, Nothing Was the Same, in September.
