Drake performing at TIDAL X: 10/20
In the late winter/early spring months, Jay Z announced yet another business venture. Adding to his long list of sound business moves was streaming service, TIDAL, which he intended to change the game. In a matter of days, Jay Z announced several partners.
Partners including Kanye West, J. Cole, Usher, and Beyonce, Drake was said to have been an initial partner. However, he backed out at the last minute in favor of joining Apple Music. Their service used Dr. Dre as the front man.
There have been a couple of issues between TIDAL and Apple Music, including a rumor of a lawsuit. When TIDAL streamed Lil Wayne’s concert and Drake performed, it was rumored that there would be a suit. In the end, there was not and now there are rumors of Drake performing at the upcoming TIDAL X: 10/20 Festival this week.
