Early this spring, Drake decided to turn “HYFR,” featuring Lil Wayne, into the fifth single off Take Care. Drake had already enjoyed three hits off Take Care, with the lead single, “Headlines,” followed by “The Motto,” and then “Take Care.” Each single went on to enjoy platinum or gold success.
Releasing “Take Care,” which features Rihanna, and “HYFR” on the same day, Drake has watched his title track already certify gold. Earlier today, however, Drake enjoyed the success of “HYFR” going gold. Ever since his So Far Gone days, Drake has dominated the radio waves and has since morphed into one of rap’s biggest stars.
“HYFR” recently certified gold, becoming the fifth single off Take Care to earn any commercial honor. For the overall Take Care album, it is the sixth commercial honor off the project. Take Care certified platinum earlier this year and has five certified hit singles taken from the album.
