Dr. Dre has been going through a very tough divorce over the past year, as he’s had to cover a lot of his estranged wife, Nicole Young’s legal fees. Last week, he was also ordered to pay her $300,000 in spousal support.
Now, Dre is dealing with more family issues, as this involves his 38-year-old daughter, LaTanya Young. According to the DailyMail, she’s reportedly been homeless in California, and is living in an SUV rental car. LaTanya has four children, but they are living with friends.
LaTanya has since been working jobs such as Door Dash, Uber Eats, and working at a warehouse. As of now, she doesn’t have Dre’s phone number, and says he hasn’t offered her any funds in 18 months. He did giver her an allowance before though, but stopped in January 2020.
“I’m taking odd jobs just to make it now – I got paid $15 an hour as an assembler at the warehouse. I’m trying to keep my head above water. I’ve been in debt for a while.”`
LaTanya is also struggling to pay for the rental car, as it costs $2,300 to use for three weeks. One week has been paid for, but is struggling to pay the rest.
LaTanya added that she asked Dre’s lawyer to assist her, but he told her that Dre won’t give her any funds, due to speaking to him to the press in the past. She is Dre’s eldest daughter, as he had LaTanya with Lisa Johnson. The two split when LaTanya was just five-years-old, and haven’t seen each other in 18 years.
