Doja Cat’s “Planet Her,” extends record as the album by a female rapper, with most weeks in the top 10, in Billboard 200 history

In 2021, Doja Cat had one of the best years of her career. She scored another hit single in “Kiss Me More,” ft. SZA, as that went 2x platinum. That went on to appear on Doja’s third studio album, “Planet Her,” that summer.

Planet her debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart. That positioning lasted for the consecutive passes. Now, Planet Her has achieved another impressive milestone.

According to Chart Data, Planet Her has extended its record as the album by a female rapper with the most weeks in the top 10 in Billboard 200 history. This is at the 23-week mark. Planet Her contained 14 tracks, with additional appearances from Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, JID, Gunna, Eve, and more. Additonal hits on the album included “Need To Know,” “Woman,” and “You Right,” ft. The Weeknd.

This year, Doja also has eight Grammy nominations. Planet Her is nominated in the categories of Best Album and Best Pop Vocal Album. At this time though, it’s unclear when the 2022 GRAMMYs will be, after being postponed for the second straight year, due to COVID-19 concerns.
