Doja Cat has been one of the biggest artists of 2021, as usual. She started off the year hot, by appearing on Saweetie’s smash hit single, “Best Friend.” Doja then delivered a big single of her own in April, with “Kiss Me More” feat. SZA. In June, her “Need To Know” single was then released.
June 25 also saw Doja finally releasing her highly anticipated “Planet Her” album. This project contains 14 tracks, with additional appearances from Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, Young Thug, and JID. Now, Doja is setting streaming records with Planet Her quickly.
Doja has reportedly now broken the Spotify record for the biggest streaming week for an album by a female rapper, in five days. It accumulated 113.4 million streams. As of now, the final numbers are also still being waited on, regarding Planet Her’s opening position on the Billboard 200 chart. In the meantime, Doja continues to post epic streaming numbers for this project, as it exceeded expectations for many of her fans.
