Doja Cat’s “Planet Her” spends half a year in Billboard 200 top 10

Over the past year, Doja Cat has continued to show why she’s been one of the biggest artists in the world. In 2021, her “Kiss Me More” single ft. SZA, peaked at number three, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Doja’s “Planet Her” album also debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200.

Planer Her hasn’t left the top 10 since its release, and is now continuing its streak. Today, it appeared at number 10, on the Billboard 200. Over the past week, Planet Her sold 32,000 units. There’s been 1,454,000 units sold since it’s initial release.

According to Chart Data, Planet Her also becomes the first album by a female rapper in history to spend half a year in the top 10 on the Billboard 200. In its June 2021 release, Planet Her spent three straight weeks, at the number two spot.

Planet Her contained 19 songs in total, with additional appearances from Ariana Grande, Gunna, Eve, JID, and The Weeknd. Other hot singles included “Need To Know” and “You Right,” ft. The Weeknd. “Woman” and “Ain’t Sh*t” have also dominated, with streams and radio play.

Doja is also nominated for eight Grammys in total, in April. This is tied for the second most nominations for 2022, with H.E.R. and Justin Bieber.
