Last night, Doja Cat had a very good night at the VMAs. She performed at the awards ceremony in New York City and also took home the award for Best New Artist. She won in this category that also included Jack Harlow, Roddy Ricch, and Pop Smoke.

Doja performed her 2019 breakout hit, “Say So” at the VMAs as it continues to become one of the most popular records in the world. Now, it has been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA in the US, according to Chart Data. This is after selling 3 million units. This record originally appeared on Doja’s sophomore album, ‘Hot Pink,’ in November of 2019.

Doja ended up releasing the remix for Say So back in April which featured Nicki Minaj. This went on to become the No. 1 song in the country. Currently, the remix stands at No. 43 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. When the remix was initially released, it made history as being part of four black women being in the top two of this chart. Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” remix with Beyoncé was at No. 2 but then reached the No. 1 spot.
