Doja Cat Earns Her Highest-Charting Album With “Planet Her,” at Number Two, on Billboard 200

Last week, Doja Cat released her highly anticipated “Planet Her” album. This came after releasing two big singles this year, in “Kiss Me More” feat. SZA, and “Need To Know.”

Doja treated fans to 14 tracks on Planet Her, which included additional appearances from Ariana Grande, JID, The Weeknd, and Young Thug. The deluxe edition was also released a day later, which included five new songs, and collabs with Eve and Gunna.

Planet Her was projected to become Doja’s highest-charting album, and now, that is the case. According to Chart Data, this album is number two on the Billboard 200 chart, with 109,000 units in its first week, with 10,000 being in pure sales. 132 million on-demand streams were also accumulated, during this time. The number one spot on the Billboard 200 goes to Tyler, The Creator’s “Call Me If You Get Lost.”

The last time Doja released an album, was “Hot Pink,” in November 2019. That featured her breakout hit single, “Say So,” as that album debuted at number nine, and is platinum in the US. Now, Planet Her is officially Doja’s biggest project to date, and appears to be one of the biggest albums albums of 2021 as well.
