Doja Cat cancels her upcoming 2022 BRIT Awards performance, due to COVID-19 cases, in her team

Doja Cat cancels 2022 BRIT performance over positive COVID-19 tests

Doja Cat has been one of the biggest superstars in the world, over the past year. The singer/rapper dominated in 2021, with singles such as “Kiss Me More” single ft. SZA, “Get Into It (Yuh),” “You Right,” ft. The Weekend, as well as her “Planet Her” album. She was supposed to perform at the upcoming 2022 BRIT Awards as well, but that has been scrapped.

Doja was set to perform on February 8, in London, but she has revealed that COVID-19 cases on her team, has now prevented that.  She took to Twitter, to make the announcement.

“Unfortunately, due to cases of COVID within my crew, I will no longer be performing at the Brits. My team and I have been in rehearsals for weeks and despite taking the utmost caution, numerous members of my crew (both on and offstage) have tested positive for COVID. It’s simply not safe for us to continue to rehearse together and put each other in harm’s way. I can’t wait to perform for my UK fans as soon as I can. Take care of yourselves.”

Doja is also nominated for two BRIT Awards, that evening. These are for best international artist of the year and best international song. The song being nominated, is Kiss Me More.
