Doja Cat Becomes First Female Rapper, to Reach Over 60 Million Monthly Listeners, in Spotify History

Doja Cat continues to be one of the biggest artists in the world, as she released her third studio album, “Planet Her,” in June. That project was led by the hit singles “Kiss Me More” feat. SZA, and “Need To Know.” It debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart, and stayed there for three weeks. This weekend, Planet Her finally hit the top spot.

Now, Doja has reached another impressive milestone. According to Chart Data, she is now the first female rapper to reach 60 million monthly listeners, on Spotify. This comes as Planet Her continues to be one of the most successful albums of 2021.

Among other records from her new project that are doing well on the charts, are “You Right” feat. The Weekend, at number 16, “Ain’t Sh*t” at 47, and “Woman” at 84. Doja saw a lot of success in the first half of this year as well, as she appeared on Saweetie’s “Best Friend” single.

Doja also got a big boost last year, with the success of her breakout hit single, “Say So.” That went on to receive a remix with Nicki Minaj, and became the number one song in the US. Say So initially appeared on her 2019 “Hot Pink” album.
