On Friday, DMX tragically passed away after a week at a White Plains, NY hospital. He was initially hospitalized after suffering a heart attack on the night of April 2. X was put on life support and unfortunately, his brain function didn’t improve at all, which left his family with the difficult choice to take him off life support.
The tributes for X continue to pour in worldwide. His loved ones have also been taking to social media to honor him. The latest is his daughter, Sasha, on Twitter. She posted photos of X on stage as well as the two enjoying each other’s company.
“Nothing will ever explain how i feel, how this all feels. my twin, i love you. There’s always been so many misconceptions about who the f*ck you were but that didn’t matter because I knew who the f*ck you were. Eternally grateful to have had you. I love you forever dad.”
Over the weekend, X’s ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, also took to her Instagram account to show him love during her 50th birthday, which was the same age as him. X was included in a slideshow that she created for her birthday.
There is also expected to be some tribute to X in his hometown of Yonkers, NY. Their Mayor, Mike Spano, even extended an invite to his family to host the public memorial at Yonkers Raceway.
