Every time DMX makes the news, over an arrest, or for drugs, it is really a sad moment. This is a man who is one of the most-gifted lyricists in hip hop history. Both his delivery and his wordplay helped make him into a household name.
Not only did DMX have the talent, he had the commercial appeal. He dropped two albums in the same year and both went multi-platinum within a year of their respective releases. In fact, his dual albums outperformed Tupac’s, from two years prior.
Unfortunately, DMX is back in more trouble, which is very disappointing to hear. The Yonkers rapper turned himself into police custody, after pleading guilty to tax evasion. He now faces prison time, over unpaid taxes between 2002 and 2005, totaling to $1.7 million, and his sentencing is on March 29, 2018.
