DJ Luke Nasty blasts Meek Mill and Ty Dolla $ign for using the same sample he used for #OTW for #WhateverYouNeed [PHOTO]

It’s not every day that an artist from North Carolina breaks through. In the modern era, there is Jodeci, which spun off K-Ci and Jojo. Then, there was Petey Pablo, Anthony Hamilton, and Fantasia that kicked off the 2000s.

Later years have brought J. Cole to stardom, and there are a ton of rappers around Fayetteville and Charlotte trying to break through. But, all of them had to take a back seat to DJ Luke Nasty. At the end of 2015, he managed to steal the spotlight.

Even though “Might Be” was his breakthrough single, “OTW” is what made DJ Luke Nasty a household name. That song borrows the same sample from Raphael Saadiq that Ludacris used for the “Splash Waterfalls” remix. Now, Meek Mill has used that for his “Whatever You Need” single with Ty Dolla $ign and Chris Brown and Luke Nasty has taken offense.
